This bilateral exam uses 2D imaging and Doppler interrogation of the major veins or arteries of both arms or both legs. Venous exams are commonly done to check for DVT.

How to prepare
No special preparation is needed. Wear loose clothing that gives easy access to the arms or legs being scanned.

- A sonographer registered through the ARDMS performs your exam.
- A radiologist reads it. The reading fee is included in your self-pay price.
